So listen to my heart

July 6, 2002. Midland Valley Church of the Nazarene. North Augusta, South Carolina. What a blessed day this was. A truly worshipful experience! We know that it was only by God's grace and perfect provision that we met, fell in love, and against all odds, it seems, finally made it to this day. We had the most amazing time celebrating our new life together and we are so thankful that we were able to share this incredible day with so many special family and friends.
Here, our photographer caught one of the only serene moments of the entire crazy, hectic day--and one of the few moments I, Melanie, truly remember clearly! What an amazing man I married that day--how did I ever fool him into taking me as his wife? mjh

Wedding party party

Here's a fun shot of the wedding party and the close friends who helped with the wedding. Also take note of the beautiful stain glass windows in the background--one of the reasons why I fell in love with this place the moment I first visited Matt's family in SC. We used this cross in our invitations, and the colors in the glass were the inspiration for the dresses and flower selections. Photography by Clark Berry.

This photo is one of our favorites from the wedding, it was taken right after we walked back down the aisle together as husband and wife for the first time. It was really a candid shot taken by our photographer's wife, Becky, but it sure looks posed to me!
