Family Holidays 2006, Part Uno

Matt and I spent Thanksgiving with the Hays family in Kansas City this year. Because of school and flight prices,
we didn't get to fly in until Thursday morning. But we had 48 wonderful hours with Brad, Carrie, and the Parents--grandparents to be. Brad welcomed us into his apartment there in KC and Mom cooked up a spread of turkey and the works-- I felt like all we did was eat for hours on end. Somehow she allowed a break in the cooking for some good PeiWei Bistro/PF Chang's wannabe. We played games, of course, watched some lousy football, and enjoyed feeling the baby kick for the first times! At least I enjoyed sharing that with them! I'm so glad we got to all get together, even though the miles to be traveled seem to be multiplying the older we all get! Maybe one day soon we'll have a holiday in Florida...
